I think I might have breast cancer. Please help me determine if I'm right!?
So today I took a shower and found a small pinkish-redish circle on one of my breast and also one on my other. I thought "Oh God is this breast cancer?" So after I came out I searched it up and some symptoms are Skin irritation or dimpling, and Redness, scaliness, or thickening of the nipple or breast skin. So do I have breast cancer? Or did I interpret it wrong? Please help me. Also I worked out two days ago so would that affect me in anyway or do I have breast cancer?
Your profile says you're 14. The chances of breast cancer at your age are very close to zero - If you did have it your case would be written up in medical journals worldwide, and if you had it in both breasts you'd make the records books too.
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer I was classed as 'young' and allocated to the breast care nurse whose special interest was breast cancer in younger women. I was 50.
80% of people diagnosed with breast cancer are over 50, only 5% are under 40, fewer than 0.1% are under 30, it's almost unheard of in under 25s, and even rarer than that in young teenagers.
What you describe is not a symptom of breast cancer.
Talk to your mother about this; if you feel you can't do that talk to your school nurse who will be able to reassure you
