What are the symptoms and indications of developing Breast Cancer?
I am in my late teens.I began having periods at the age of 9.I have been overweight since my childhood.
I experience some kind of pain at times which is not very frequent,like, sometimes it does'nt pain for days or months and sometimes twice or thrice in the same day.
It has been happening for last one or two years.
WHAT DO YOU THINK I AM SUFFERING FROM?
AM I PRONE TO B.C.?
ALSO, SUGGEST ME WHAT TO DO?
Breast cancer at your age is extremely rare' it's almost unknown in under 25s and fewer than 0.1% of those diagnosed are under 30. The overwhelming majority are over 50.
What you describe is not a symptom of breast cancer.
You have obviously read that starting periods early is a risk factor for breast cancer, and so it is; but most women who start their periods early do not develop breast cancer, and having a risk factor like this does not increase the possibility of getting breast cancer at a young age.
Similarly overweight, especially after the menopause, is a breast cancer risk factor; again, most overweight women do not develop breast cancer, and the chances of developing it at a young age aren't increased by overweight.
Risk factors aren't causes, and there is no reason to suppose you are at increased risk of breast cancer.
See a doctor about the pains if they're worrying you, but pain is rarely a symptom of breast cancer - the majority of people diagnosed have felt no pain.
