Why are my breasts are still producing colostrum after 13 years?
My husband mentioned it a few years ago. With my bi-polar disorder, the gastrointestinal problems, periomenopausal often and I know it is not normal. I have an appointment with a doctor, but wanted other opinions first. Going to a community clinic does not alleviate my concerns so any advice will be very useful. I have two sons, 13 and almost 15. Both C-section and had my tubes tied when I was 24. Now I'm 34.
Definitely would see a doctor in it that shouldn't be

Finding Strength: A Mother and Daughter's Story of Childhood Cancer $21.68 Professor Juanne Clarke has spent her career as a medical sociologist, exploring the public health system and the personal health systems of individuals. One of her book examined how women with breast cancer deal with diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment. Then her 17-year-old daughter Lauren was diagnosed with leukemia, and the theories and paradigms of academe gave way to the real-life struggle of a mother and her daughter for healing and for the best medical treatment possible. Finding Strength details two years in the lives of these two women, from early symptoms and denial, through diagnosis and two years of treatment, to a clean bill of health. Each chapter first describes the events of a particular time and then discusses the literature on the subject, relating to their own experience what medical and sociological researches have found. The book also includes an extensive bibliography and a list of resources for childhood cancer. |

The Hypertension Report - Say Goodbye to High Blood Pressure $12.89 An estimated 50 million Americans have high blood pressure, often called the silent killer'' because it may not cause symptoms until the patient has suffered serious damage to the arterial system. It raises the risk of heart attacks, strokes, congestive heart failure, kidney damage, dementia and even blindness. That's a laundry list of horrors you want to avoid and so drug treatment should be an easy sell to the public. There is a massive campaign going on to educate the public to the NEW PARADIGM: Early detection means early treatment and cure -- just like with the American Cancer Society and the war on breast cancer. And like the war on breast cancer, it may turn out to just as disappointing. Early drug treatment may not work at all to reduce the mortality rate. It needs to be tried, however, IF they can find drugs that won't do more harm than good. Hypertension treatment is the same regardless of whether the problem is systolic or diastolic or both. But what if they have different mechanisms? Then you will need two drugs, which greatly increases your potential for serious side effects. Diet, exercise, potassium supplements chelation therapy and practically anything but drugs is the way to go in my opinion. We discuss alternatives in this report. |
