I have only 19, but I am worried that my breast (nipple mainly) has been chopped and reversed. I do not feel any lump or redness or anything but I have a mole that breastfeeding level. What are the symptoms and what causes a sinus infection? How I can know if a sinus infection and not inflammatory breast cancer?

You should see your doctor, inverted nipples are not a sign of infection - this is looks much with breast cancer and itching as well. The symptoms may resemble other, but if you really must check to be sure.

breast cancer worry, please help with some advice?

Hi I'm a bit worried and would like some advice. My right breast is tender and sometimes feels like a squeezing pain that extends to just below my shoulders, is sensitive to touch, but not always painful. The nipple in my right breast is also very sensitive and I can not bear the thought of playing and also the color of my nipple has changed and is a bit darker than the left nipple, which is like a waterfall colour.I no lumps in or around my breast, nipple or armpit, but I'm very concerned that I have breast cancer, do you think this is what could be? I am a 29 year old woman old, married mother of three children and am very concerned, I do not smoke and rarely drink but I am currently 26 weeks pregnant, but I had these symptoms since before I got pregnant, but in recent months have worsened. I know they can not diagnose, but I do what I have said, i am hoping that you will be able to give me a percentage if you think I might have breast cancer. thank you very much

Breast cancer does not seem likely, but something is not right. I just said hormones, unless you state it was before pregnancy. You would have regular checkups (I hope) as part of their pre-natal care. I mention this to the doctor on your next review and request either a diagnostic or reference, just in case!

cancer breast is classified by the fact that begins in the ducts or lobules, the bodies responsible for the production of milk. Medullary carcinoma accounts for 15% of all types of breast cancer. The type of breast cancer two proteins susceptibility (BRCA2) is a suppressor of breast tumors with a potential role in the cellular response to injury DNA. Some breast cancers express one or more of these proteins on their cell surface, while others express none. Media Relations Contacts Press online rumors, myths, Glossary and Facts About The American Cancer Society Breastfeeding, other factors may affect breast cancer risk TypeAtlanta 2008/08/25-Factores as the age of menopause and a woman? s breastfeeding practices can influence her risk of developing certain types of breast cancer.

Researchers found that reproductive risk factors vary considerably from breast cancer subtype. The analysis included 1,023 women with breast cancer whose cells express estrogen and progesterone receptors (called luminal cancers), 39 women with HER2-overexpressing breast cancer, and 78 triple-negative cases (no expression estrogen, progesterone, or HER2 receptors). The study also included 1476 women without breast cancer. ? They added that further studies on the causes of the subtypes breast cancer are needed to better understand the biology of the disease. Learn more about our commitment to providing breast cancer complete, accurate and private information. The study? S results suggest that there are distinct and separate hormonal risk factors associated with different subtypes of breast cancer. Women with what is known as "triple negative" breast cancer are more likely than other women with breast cancer experience a relapse, a new study conducted by Canadian researchers shows. Despite having a high risk of early recurrence, the study indicates that patients with triple negative breast cancer who remain free disease for eight years, is unlikely to die of breast cancer and can be "cured" of their disease.

Breastfeeding reduces the risk of Breast cancer

Breastfeeding for 6 months or more was associated with a lower risk of luminal cancer as well as triple-negative cancer, a type which can be particularly aggressive and difficult to treat. Understanding the specific type of breast cancer may help to ask better questions and work with their doctors to obtain the best treatments for breast cancer. For more information on the types and stages of breast cancer, to see beyond the shock ®. Medullary carcinoma accounts for 15% of all breast cancers. Infiltrating lobular carcinoma is a type of breast cancer usually appears as a subtle thickening in the upper External breast. Which constitute about 2% of all diagnoses of breast cancer, carcinoma of tubular cells have a distinctive tubular structure when viewed under a microscope. Normally this type of breast cancer detected in women over 50 years. Inflammatory breast cancer is a rare and aggressive type of cancer breast cancer that causes the lymph vessels in the skin of the breast become blocked.

The risk of breast cancer

The results suggest that there are distinct and separate hormonal risk factors associated with different subtypes of breast cancer. Amanda Phipps, a predoctoral research associate at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, and colleagues conducted a study to better understand the specific risk factors for subtypes of breast cancer, classified by the expression estrogen receptor, the progesterone receptor and HER2 receptor. The researchers found that reproductive risk factors varied considerably by subtype breast cancer. Breastfeeding for 6 months or more is associated with a lower risk of luminal cancer as well as triple-negative cancer, a type that can be very aggressive and difficult to treat. Both late age at menopause and use of estrogen plus progestin hormone therapy is associated with an increased risk of luminal disease. Finally, There were no differences in risks associated with the number of children or the age at which women first gave birth were observed by subtype. The study authors concluded that their results indicate that "certain reproductive factors may have a greater impact on the risk of certain molecular subtypes of disease compared with others. Despite having a high risk of early recurrence, the study suggests that triple negative breast cancer patients who remain disease free for eight years, is unlikely to die of breast cancer and can be "cured" of their disease. insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia, and changes in signaling and growth hormones steroid hormones associated with diabetes may affect breast cancer risk. Despite many proposed potential pathways, the mechanisms underlying an association between diabetes and breast cancer risk remain unclear, especially because the two diseases share several risk factors, including intake of obesity, sedentary lifestyle and, possibly, saturated fat and refined carbohydrates, which may confound this association. Although metabolic syndrome is closely related to diabetes and includes other components that might influence the risk of breast cancer, the role of metabolic syndrome in breast carcinogenesis has not been studied and therefore remains still unknown.

Breast Cancer Symptoms For Women

She wanted to ask me about something she had read in the breast cancer magazine that she receives. Breast Cancer Symptoms For WomenAmongst the ads and informational articles about Breast Cancer Treatment, was a recommendation that she include something called turmeric in her diet, and she wanted to know what it is and how she could most easily incorporate it into her eating plan. I was so happy to oblige her with information, since I think it may really help!

Turmeric is that bright yellow spice that gives mustard its distinctive yellow color and is used in Indian curries. It comes from the root of the Curcuma Longa plant and is sometimes called "Indian Saffron." It is native to India and Southeast Asia, although its warm, peppery flavor is popular around the world. Although turmeric has been used for thousands of years, recently it has been added to the list of "super" foods for a variety of reasons:

Anti-inflammatory

Inflammation is your body's response to cellular injury that, if prolonged, can lead to disease. The pigment in turmeric, which is called "curcumin," has been shown to be an effective anti-inflammatory-and without the side effects of many drugs that are sold for this purpose. According to a study done at the University of Michigan, curcumin gets into the cells and makes them more orderly, allowing the cell membranes to have better control over substances that flow in and out of the cell and thus providing a protective effect against malignancy and infection. This has implications in the prevention of cancer, arthritis and other diseases.

Anti-oxidant

The curcumin in turmeric has anti-oxidant capabilities, which helps protect your body against the cell damage caused by free radicals. The bright yellow color of turmeric is a clue to its anti-oxidant properties, since the bright pigments in foods seem to have this protective power.

Aids liver in detoxification

Your liver works hard 24/7 to rid your body of all of the toxic substances that you inhale, ingest and produce as your body functions. There is good evidence that the curcumin found in turmeric may help the liver to detoxify certain toxic chemicals. This is significant, especially as our air, water and food become more toxic.

Cancer prevention

Due to its anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and detoxing properties, the curcumin found in turmeric may help protect you against cancer. There is also evidence that curcumin helps the body to destroy cancer cells and thus may inhibit the growth of tumors. Studies have been done that demonstrate that those who consume turmeric regularly have a lower incidence of breast, prostate, colon and lung cancer.

Aid in preventing Alzheimer's Disease

As our population ages, there is increasing concern about the prevalence of mental disease such as Alzheimer's. A number of studies have been done which show that several active ingredients in turmeric may affect your body's ability to ward off Alzheimer's disease, including boosting your immune system, affecting gene coding and improving brain chemistry. Interestingly, the incidence of this devastating condition is very low amongst the old people of India, and it may be due, at least in part, to their daily consumption of turmeric in the curried foods that are popular in Indian cuisine.

Lung Cancer Secrets Revealed Click here

Helps your heart

The curcumin found in turmeric has been shown to help your body to eliminate bad cholesterol (LDL) as well as helping to prevent the oxidation of cholesterol. This protects your blood vessels from damage and helps to prevent the build up of plaque in your arteries. This is significant in reducing your risk of heart disease and other cardiovascular disorders.

Even weight control!

A recent study suggested that turmeric may even have a role to play in weight control! Apparently, the curcumin found in turmeric helps to slow the formation of body fat, even when a significant amount of fat is consumed in the diet. Although, I am not recommending a new "Turmeric Weight Loss Plan," including turmeric in your diet can only help, especially when you consider all of its other benefits.

What about vitamins and minerals?

Like many spices and herbs, turmeric is a good source of the mineral, manganese. It also has significant amounts of Iron, Potassium and Vitamin B6.

How do I get turmeric into my diet?

Although enjoying some nice Indian curry may be one way to get some turmeric into your diet, it is certainly not the only way. In fact, curry powders often have less turmeric in them, than you might imagine.

Here are some ideas for incorporating turmeric into your diet:

You can make tea from turmeric by simmering a teaspoon of the powder in about four cups of boiling water for about 10 minutes. Strain the tea and sweeten, if desired. (There are also commercial turmeric teas available, if you prefer.) Some ginger root or a ginger tea bag may be added for additional benefits and flavor.

Add turmeric to egg salad, deviled eggs and macaroni salads. Add turmeric to soups, chili, meatloaf, or Sloppy Joes. Turmeric is a good seasoning for steamed cauliflower with a bit of oil and salt. Look for some Indonesian and Indian brown rice dishes that include turmeric or curry powder. (If they call for curry powder, you can add some extra turmeric.)

My friend with breast cancer wondered if she could take turmeric as a supplement. Of course that is a possibility, but with all the pills she is already taking, why add more, when there are so many ways to incorporate turmeric into her diet? I would also be leery of taking a "curcumin" supplement, since the whole food may be necessary to get all of the wonderful benefits.

Although I am thrilled that my friend is adding turmeric to her regimen, I am not suggesting that turmeric is a cure for breast cancer. However, every little thing we can do to help our bodies fight this savage disease, is a step towards beating it. In the case of turmeric, you get to enjoy the pungent flavor along with the numerous benefits.

I am convinced that what we eat and how we eat plays a major role in how we feel and particularly, how well we are. For this reason, I would like as many people as possible to become more aware of what healthy eating involves, and of the extreme benefits that can be found in being conscious of what and how we eat.

Help I have not have my period for 5 month.?

For the last 5 month my period refuse to come have never taken birth control pills in my life, because it cause still birth or ovarian cancer. I visited my nurse for pregnancy test but she told me that i wasn't pregnant, even though i don't have any symptoms of pregnancy, i also went to the doctor she told me i may be pregnant because of my breast looks like a pregnant lady breast, i am so confused i don't want to be pregnant, i don't believe that i am saying this, but i really miss my period.

if you go to the doctor a preganancy test should be pretty definitive. they don't give you some cheap over the counter pee on a stick test. if you think you're pregnant they ought to do a blood test. there shouldn't be any second guessing, and if they aren't sure then they definitely shouldn't send you on your way and tell you that you might be preganant b/c you have swollen breast.they need to get you treatment. that sound pretty shady--first

second. if you're young and healthy there's lots of reasons for no periods.
1. weight loss
2. weight gain
3. stress
4. recent illness/sickness

there are also some medical reasons like pcos. a missed period can be caused by many things. it's not necessarily cause for alarm. a lot of really young girls are irregular for years when they're teenagers.
if you're concerned you should have your doctor perform a pelvic exam/pap smear to rule out any medical cause and inform your doctor of any exercise regimens you've started, new sports, weight change or lifestyle change (recent vegetarian), also let him/her know if you've been under a large amount of stress recently.

but pregnancy shouldn't be a maybe. you should know for sure.

Quality Care = Integrated Mulitidisciplinary Care

Be Aware of the Symptoms of Breast Cancer

In today’s world, is it that occurrences of breast cancer are growing much more than it was years ago, or it is just that breast cancer is getting more visibility in the press and medical journals? It appears that the answer is a little bit of both. The population is increasing and therefore the actual number of cases is more, although the actual percentage of people diagnosed with breast cancer is not significantly different (although it is higher) than in years past.

One of the things that many people fail to understand is that anyone can get breast cancer. Although it is thought to be tied somewhat to being hereditary, that does not mean that you will not get breast cancer if there is no occurrence of it in your family history.

Another thing that is equally puzzling is why more people, particularly women where breast cancer is most likely to happen, do not get regular checkups from their doctor to check for it. I know of multiple people who were diagnosed with breast cancer, and when asked when the last time they had a mammogram done to check for the presence of breast cancer, they indicated it had been a number of years. This is truly unfortunate because like most things, if breast cancer is caught as early as possible, the chances of beating it become incredibly greater.

You should be aware of the symptoms of breast cancer, sometimes also known as inflammatory breast caner so that you can see your doctor as soon as possible if these symptoms exist. These symptoms include:

* A breast that appears bruised, or is pink or purple.

* If your breast is feeling tender or firm and enlarged.

* A consistent warm feeling in the breast.

* Pain or itching in the breast that is constant.

* A ridged or dimpled skin texture, kind of like an orange peel.

* Flattened, retracted, swollen or crusted skin around the nipple.

* Lumps or enlarged lymph nodes under the arm or around the collarbone.

This is not an exhaustive list of symptoms but if you are experiencing any of these symptoms or signs, you should see your doctor as soon as possible to get checked out. Most health insurance companies will pay for this examination, because they realize that it is going to cost them much more if the cancer is allowed to grow instead of being diagnosed, caught, and remedied early on in its development stages.

Many of these same symptoms can also indicate the presence of a breast infection called mastitis. This type of infection most frequently (although not exclusively) occurs in younger women, usually under age 35, who are breast feeding young children. This is not breast cancer but is a simple infection that is most easily treated with prescription antibiotics. It is frequently accompanied by fever. The difference here is that breast cancer does not cause a fever, nor does it respond to antibiotics.

The bottom line is that you need to be aware of the classic symptoms of breast cancer, since the earlier it is diagnosed and treated, especially with the advances in today’s medicines, the better your chances of beating it.

Query About Breast Cancer?

I Am a boy of age 17. I find that there are some secretions from my breasts some times and they wet my shirt near the nipple area. My Breasts do pain some times. I See that there is no enlargening of my breasts. Are these symptoms of Breast Cancer? Please Tell me. I Am dying with fear.
I Think that my nipples went down in also.

There are actually 2 oncologists and 2 family practitioners who answer questions here. However, it does not take someone with that degree of education to tell you 17 year-old boys do not get breast cancer. What you have sounds like gynecomastia. Your symptoms can also be caused by some medications. Tell your mom about it so she can take you to a doctor who can advise you.
